Welcome to the brand new Gaming Club Network Website

Dan Carroll

After almost 6 months of development and testing the GCN is unveiling it's brand new Website!

Throughout this development period our main objectives and focus have been to create a site that will act as a central hub for all things GCN and to make sure it is as user friendly as possible.

So a quick tour of your new site:

News - This constantly updated blog will be the first stop for all the latest goings on within the GCN, from meeting dates to election notices. However this is also a space for you our members to have your say! Have you just started playing a game you are raving about that the whole world should know of? Or perhaps you are a painting maestro who wishes to share your knowledge with the world. If you have an article you want to put out there to our membership you can, all you need to do is send it to us and we will show it off for you!

Events - Not sure what's going on in the wargaming world? Running a show and want to make sure everyone shows up? This is the spot for you! Our calendar will be kept up to date with the events run by our amazing member clubs and our fantastic affiliates for everyone to see!! All you need to do is fill in the form at the bottom of the Events page to get yours added to the list!

Offers - Being a member of a GCN club means you get access to some phenomenal discounts and offers provided by our wonderful affiliates. On this page you can see which companies are currently offering a package for member clubs and apply for them directly through the site! All you will need is your club ID and the relevant codes will appear in your inbox!

Membership - In our drive to make the GCN as user friendly as we can we have moved the joining process and renewal process on to here. By simply filling in a form online you can start the joining or renewal process and with full Paypal integration payment couldn't be easier!

Documents - As part of our commitment to providing support for our members we have a wide range of documentation covering help with setting up a club to running an event or tournament. We also have the New Club Pack which details everything needed for a club just joining the GCN.

Clubs - Here we have possibly the most important part of the site, the club listings! Organised by geographical region you can see the full list of GCN member clubs and where they are, as well as viewing their location on our handy Google Map. However to make it easier to find a club we have a very handy search engine that allows you to find a club not just by location but also by what games they play! (If your club details are not complete that's because we need you to help fill them in, please use the form at the bottom of the Clubs page)

So before you scurry off to explore what we have done for you I would like to take this opportunity to thank a few people who have been involved in getting this site complete:

  • Gemma Barnes - Gemma has been the main developer of the site and has put in the majority of the work to get the framework in place and did so in a relatively short amount of time!
  • Chris Peachey - Chris has put a lot of work into getting the detail added to the site, with keeping the events page up to date and ensuring our About page  is filled in!
  • Jez Fairclough - Jez has been instrumental in making the site aesthetically pleasing through out ensuring we have plenty of relevant images through the site and helping get clubs added to the list.
  • We have also had a few people involved in testing the site, including but not limited to Steve Tibbs.
  • Thanks to Mike Nelson of Pigmar Wargaming club and Richard Peachey of Peachey Models for the use of there amazing painted work.
